The Calgary Cinematheque is committed to doing our part to ensure the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, and moviegoers.
Our current screenings are taking place at the Globe Cinema, and we will be following their guidelines.
In order to be admitted to shows and events at Globe Cinema, you will need to:
Wear a mask in the building unless seated.
Please be respectful of your fellow moviegoers and take note of the following:
We recommend that patrons purchase their tickets online via Showpass to confirm your seat and avoid physical contact, but we will also be selling tickets at the door. Only Debit, Visa, and Mastercard will be accepted at concession (no cash).
We are discontinuing physical Five Film Punch Passes, and moving to a digital Five Film Pass. If you have a punch pass from a previous season that you would like to use, please send a picture of your pass to communication@calgarycinema.org and we will send you a code or codes that can be used to redeem the remainder of your tickets on Showpass.
If you are feeling under the weather, stay home! If you’ve already purchased a ticket and you begin to experience symptoms, let us know and we will provide you with a refund.
Masks are required to enter the building. You may take your mask off once you are seated.
We ask that all our guests please follow the proper social distancing etiquette while attending screenings. This includes standing at least 6 feet apart in lobbies and only sitting next to the people in your group or family.
The front doors will be locked 10 minutes after the film has started, so arrive on time! This is to ensure that the Globe’s staff can safely and comfortably clean after starting and between shows. Washrooms and concessions are still available to patrons in the building.
Only Debit, Visa, and Mastercard will be accepted at concession, and we encourage guests to use tap if possible. Plexiglass screens have also been installed at each pay station.
If you have any questions or concerns about our COVID-19 restrictions, please contact Mary at communication@calgarycinema.org.
